Wil Crawford

Wil Crawford graduated magna cum laude and with university honors from East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and a Bachelor of Science degree in Legal Studies, and is a member of the Pi Sigma Alpha and Alpha Chi national honor societies.  Throughout his academic career, Wil served as President of the Young Democrats of ECU, Captain of the ECU Mock Trial team, and Chairman of and Senator in the ECU delegation to the Oklahoma Intercollegiate Legislature.  In his senior year, Wil was elected to serve as the President Pro Tempore of the Senate and on the Board of Directors of the Oklahoma Intercollegiate Legislature.

As a part of his university honors requirements, Wil conducted a year-long supervised independent study of the Oklahoma Indigent Defense System, producing an honors thesis titled “Oklahoma Indigent Defense: Successes and Shortcomings in Securing Civil Rights.”  His thesis won Best Undergraduate Paper at the Fall 2018 Oklahoma Political Science Association Conference, was presented at the 2019 Pi Sigma Alpha National Undergraduate Research Conference in Washington, DC, and merited an H.Y. Benedict Fellowship from Alpha Chi. Wil has a strong interest in public policymaking and hopes to use his legal education to further the interests of the public in the State of Oklahoma.
