Reactivation Status Instructions for a Limited License
Have you resolved your issues with obtaining your required number of in-court practice hours?
- Returning to work following an extended leave of absence
- Securing a new supervising attorney at another place of employment
1) Reactivating your license under your prior approved supervising attorney
Click here to contact the OBA Legal Intern Coordinator, requesting that your license be returned to active status effective [date].
- Supreme Court Rulebook Application Form: none
- Application Fee: waived
Note: a recertification letter from the law school is required for current students.
2) Reactivating your license under a newly proposed supervising attorney
- Supreme Court Rulebook Application Form for Students: Form 3
- File a copy with the Oklahoma Bar Association (Mail, Delivery, or Email)
- Upload a copy in Student Services D2L (Assignment Folder: LLI Application Forms)
- Application Fee: $10 payable to the Oklahoma Bar Association (if emailing application, you can phone in your credit card number)
- Supreme Court Rulebook Application Form for Graduates: Form 7
- File a copy with the Oklahoma Bar Association (Mail, Delivery, or Email)
- Application Fee: $10 payable to the Oklahoma Bar Association (if emailing application, you can phone in your credit card number)
Note: Graduates are not required to furnish a copy of Form 7 to the law school – a recertification letter from the law school is required for current students only.
*Contact Carol J. North, Legal Internship Program Administrator, to advise her of your status. She will need to review your eligibility requirements and forward a recertification letter to the Bar before your license may be reactivated.
- Current on your monthly activity reports
- Good academic standing with the law school
- Actively participating in the law school’s Legal Internship Program for the appropriate semester
- Receipt of your Form 3 copy (if applicable)
