Nicholas Hines, 2L

Admissions Ambassador

My name is Nicholas Hines. I am originally from Dallas, Texas. I received my B.A. in Political Science with a minor in Legal Studies from Texas Tech University. I always knew I wanted to go to law school, but I had no idea where I would end up.  That is, until I discovered the Oklahoma City University School of Law. I recall taking a tour of this institution and meeting all of the nice faculty and students. I remember telling my parents after my tour that I knew this was going to be my home for the next three years.

Oklahoma City University School of Law has provided me with a number of leadership and intern opportunities. During my first year of law school, I was appointed as an SBA Representative by the American Bar Association. This prompted me to desire to take on greater positions inside organizations at OCU Law. As a second-year law student, I am the Vice President of the Energy Law Association, the secretary of the Black Law Student Association, and a member of the Dean’s Student Advisory Board. I had the honor of interning for Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma this summer. Overall, this institution has given me the tools I need to not just be a great law student, but also a successful lawyer in the future.
