Elise Houston, 3L

I am a 3L from Fort Worth, Texas. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Entomology from Oklahoma State University in 2018 and loved Oklahoma so much I decided to stay! I have a wide variety of interests in the law, but this summer I interned at the Payne County District Attorney’s office, where I gained a ton of hands-on criminal law experience. This fall I am working at Oklahoma Legal Services PLLC assisting attorneys with personal injury claims. Additionally, I volunteer my time at the Trinity Legal Clinic and Court Appointed Special Advocates. My favorite thing about OCU Law is that everyone has a place where they can belong, whether it is in an organization, mock trial team, law review, or through the student bar association. Personally, I am a member of several organizations such as the Texas Legal Society, Second Amendment Society, and Future Lawyers for Children. I am also a member of the Law Review, Dean’s Student Advisory Board, and Admissions Ambassadors. I believe OCU Law is truly a collaborative and encouraging environment from the professors to my fellow classmates. We are all striving to achieve a common goal, and this allows us to push each other to do our best. I am so excited you have decided to check us out and hope we can talk more during a visit to campus!
