Master of Laws (LL.M.) Application Instructions

Space is limited and admission is selective. The application deadline for Fall Semester 2017 is June 1, 2017. Applications received on or before March 1 of each year will receive first consideration.

There are two ways to apply: (1) by using the Law School Admission Council LL.M. Credential Assembly Services (LSAC CAS) or (2) by sending application materials directly to the School of Law.

LSAC CAS Applicants

Applicants who choose to use the LSAC CAS must be registered with that service. If you have not already done so, you can register here. Once you are registered, you can access the application form and instructions. When you apply through this service, you will be required to submit the following items to the LSAC CAS pursuant to instructions accompanying the application form on the LSAC website:

  • Official transcripts from all universities attended, showing all degrees earned.
  • Certification of English language proficiency.
  • Current resume showing a complete record of your education, employment, professional experience, and accomplishments.
  • Personal statement (600-1,000 words) describing your reasons for pursuing the LL.M. in American Law degree and discussing your abilities, experience, and career goals.
  • Two letters of recommendation, at least one of which must be from an academic reference who is familiar with your intellectual abilities and academic performance.
  • Non-refundable application fee of $70.00.

Applying Through Oklahoma City University School of Law

Applicants who choose to apply directly to Oklahoma City University School of Law must download the application form and instructions, complete, sign and scan it, and send it by PDF attachment to LLMINFO@OKCU.EDU. You must also send the following documents by PDF attachment to the same email address:

  • Official transcripts from all universities attended, showing all degrees earned.
  • Certification of English language proficiency.
  • Current resume showing a complete record of your education, employment, professional experience, and accomplishments.
  • Personal statement (600-1,000 words) describing your reasons for pursuing the LL.M. in American Law degree and discussing your abilities, experience, and career goals.
  • Two letters of recommendation, at least one of which must be from an academic reference who is familiar with your intellectual abilities and academic performance.
  • No application fee is required.
