Oklahoma Licensed Legal Intern Program The Oklahoma Licensed Legal Intern Program is designed to provide supervised practical skills training in trial advocacy and professional ethics to law students who have registered with the Oklahoma Board of Bar Examiners and graduates who have applied to take the first Oklahoma Bar examination after graduation. Upon completion of half the number of Juris Doctor credit hours required by the ABA, students may obtain a Limited License to Practice Law in the state of Oklahoma. After being sworn in, they are allowed to work on actual court cases under the supervision of licensed attorneys. This opportunity should not be considered only by those who plan to take the Oklahoma Bar examination. Many students who have gone to other states after graduation have benefited greatly by participating in this program and developing solid, marketable skills to pitch to out-of-state employers.
