Shenice Freeman is a dedicated social justice advocate and career readiness professional with over 18 years of experience empowering individuals to achieve their personal and professional goals. Her expertise spans school-age education, health equity program organization, program creation, implementation and management, and employment navigation. Shenice has developed a unique skill set that bridges social justice advocacy, program innovation, leadership, and workforce development.

Currently, Shenice serves as the Director of Programs and Curriculum Design at Side x Side OKC. She specializes in creating impactful training programs, establishing advisory councils, breaking down systemic barriers, and fostering critical conversations around social justice. Her innovative approaches equip individuals for successful employment while guiding them toward long-term financial stability and career advancement.

One of Shenice’s noteworthy accomplishments is her role in coordinating Oklahoma City’s largest expungement expo for over three years. This initiative led to the expungement of more than 100 criminal records, opening new career pathways and opportunities for countless Oklahomans.
Shenice is also a published co-author in the Oklahoma Bar Journal (October 2023), with her article, Pro Bono Expungement Clinics: Creating Second Chances, showcasing her expertise in criminal justice reform. She is actively involved in various professional and civic organizations, including:

Shenice resides in Oklahoma with her husband, Jose Freeman. Together, they have four grown children and a beloved Shih Tzu, Chico.
