Matthew Blakley, 3L

Admissions Ambassador

My name is Matthew Blakley, and I am from Enid, Oklahoma. I played soccer at Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa, then I earned my Bachelor of Science in Geoscience from Fort Hays State University.

At OCU Law School, there are many groups that you can be involved in. I serve as an Admissions Ambassador, member of The Oklahoma City University Law Review, member of the Federal Bar Association, and was on the Phi Alpha Delta Mock Trial Competition team. I started working at an insurance defense firm after my 1L summer and continue to work there part time.

I love OCU Law because the professors are highly accomplished and are genuinely invested in their students’ growth. There is a tremendous amount of support offered to students for both academic success and gaining professional experience while in school. I love the downtown campus because of the close proximity to the courthouse and law firms, which is great for me because I can walk to work after class. Choosing OCU Law was a great decision that has set me on a path for a successful career practicing law.
