Karstyn Cantrell
Karstyn Cantrell grew up on her family’s fourth-generation cow-calf operation in northeast Oklahoma, where, from a young age, her passion for the agricultural industry took root and her definition of hard work expanded. Her foundational upbringing brought her to Oklahoma State University, where she majored in Agricultural Communications and minored in Philosophy, graduating Summa Cum Laude in 2024.
While at OSU, Karstyn served as the Vice-President of the Ferguson College of Agriculture Student Council Team, represented the student voice in the Alumni Association on the Student Network Board, and was an active member of the Chi Omega Sorority. Her experience, both in and out of the classroom, as well as on her family’s ranch, instilled in her the values of hard work, generosity, and humble service. This encouraged her to invest heavily in her college community, both in religious and philanthropic pursuits.
During her time on campus, she was named an OSU Top Ten Freshman, OSU Alumni Association Outstanding Senior, Ferguson College of Agriculture Senior of Distinction, Homecoming Royalty Court Member, and the Distinguished Orange Gown Recipient, an award given to the single outstanding student of each college to represent their graduating class.
Karstyn took a one-year leave of absence from OSU to serve as one of six elected ambassadors for the National FFA Organization as a National Vice President. While representing nearly one million students across the country, she was a student member of the National FFA Board of Directors, facilitated leadership workshops, delivered motivational speeches, and advocated for FFA on a global scale.
These unique opportunities have grown Karstyn personally and professionally. While in law school, she hopes to apply her commitment to hard work and her mindset of service to one day benefit the agricultural industry and enhance public policy.
