Karelle Morgan, 2L
Hello! My name is Karelle Morgan, and I’m a 2L at Oklahoma City University School of Law. I’m from Piedmont, Oklahoma, and I graduated from Oklahoma State University with a degree in Human Development and Family Science and a Certificate of Ethical Leadership. I participated in the 3+3 academic plan, which allowed me to complete three years at OSU followed by three years at OCU Law while earning dual credit during my first year of law school. I’m a big people person, and I carry my passion for helping others and leadership with me into my legal studies.
At OCU Law, I’m involved in several organizations that have helped elevate my law school experience. I serve as a Student Ambassador and Academic Fellow, am a member of Law Review, compete on the National Moot Court Team, and serve as Vice President of the Murrah Student Association. Over the summer, I worked at the Federal Public Defender’s Office, where I found the work incredibly rewarding. I have a strong interest in criminal law and hope to pursue a career in litigation. At the top of my list is serving in the JAG Corps.
I chose OCU Law because, when I toured the school and learned more about it as a prospective student, I could truly see myself here. The location is unbeatable, but more importantly, the sense of community really flourishes. Faculty, staff, and students are always willing to talk with you, answer questions, or help you in any way they can. Coming to law school is a very big decision, and if you need someone to talk to, someone to support you, or even just a friend in the halls, I would love to be your hype woman!
I hope to share my passion for OCU Law and the legal profession with you! You got this!
