Ashlyn Darter
Ashlyn graduated summa cum laude from the University of Oklahoma in 2023 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics. During her time at OU, she held various leadership positions within Oklahoma’s largest innovation consultancy, the Irani Center for the Creation of Economic Wealth. After graduation, she began her fellowship with I-CCEW and worked directly with students, small businesses, and nonprofit leaders. She is most proud of the pilot program she developed for Callisto, a social entrepreneurship client that specializes in sexual assault reporting technology.
In 2024, Ashlyn co-founded Operation Halo, an online educational platform that equips young women with personal safety skills. Through Operation Halo, she collaborated with field experts to develop a self-defense and situational awareness curriculum for girls as young as 13. Her training directly impacted more than 1,000 young women through self-defense courses, advocacy events, donation drives, and more. She customized programming for local organizations such as the Jesus House, YMCA, Dale Rogers Training Center, and the Boys & Girls Clubs of OKC. In late 2025, Operation Halo’s virtual situational awareness course was licensed by an innovative micro-learning platform called LearningQ. LearningQ now uses this training in its nationwide educational initiatives for women with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Prior to starting law school, Ashlyn interned with the Tulsa County District Attorney in the Special Victims Unit (SVU), deepening her passion for criminal law. This experience bridged the gap between her advocacy experience with Operation Halo and her desire to do more for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. She plans to use her legal education to continue empowering victims through education, advocacy, and one day, representation.
