Inasmuch Center for Public Service

At OCU Law, we pride ourselves on producing public servants. Public servant graduates are people who serve in elected office, as a judge, in a district attorney’s office, in a public defender’s office, in the military, in any role for a government agency, or for any nonprofit entity. Many law school graduates don’t take those paths, but our OCU Law graduates pursue public service careers at a much higher rate than most other law schools. Our students have always been passionate about leaving the world better than they found it.

This reputation already existed organically at OCU Law, but with the generous support of the Inasmuch Foundation, we formalized it with the launch of the Inasmuch Center for Public Service in the fall of 2026.

The Center has three primary components: 1) to create programming at the law school around public service to enrich the overall student experience, 2) to bring an even greater emphasis to externship and career opportunities specifically in public service and 3) to develop a path forward for a summer experiential opportunity in Washington, D.C., for our students.
