Financial Literacy Services
Many law students take on far higher debt loads than they have the experience to manage. But debt management is far from the whole story. Students often lack a framework for making good financial decisions, which can impact every aspect of their personal and professional futures.
That’s why we partnered with AccessMAX, the first-of-its-kind, multi-faceted personal finance curriculum exclusively for law students.
AccessMAX is structured to educate students on loan repayment and personal finance. It combines in-person workshops, online and virtual programming, and one-on-one counseling. It leverages your strengths, addresses your weaknesses, and fits into your demanding schedule.
To provide a comprehensive personal finance education, the AccessMAX program:
- Teaches personal finance in a way that leverages the skills law school attracts and fosters;
- Takes a multi-format approach – including interactive online lessons, webinars, in-person workshops, and one-on-one counseling that lets you define your own path;
- Delivers information in quick and easy-to-understand components to fit into your demanding schedule; and
- Offers scholarship incentives to motivate you to stay on-task and on-schedule – AccessLex® will award over $200,000 through MAX Scholarship drawings during the 2018-2019 academic year!
One of the program’s defining features is its building-block curriculum. During your 1L year, you’ll focus primarily on foundational elements, followed by more advanced instruction in your 2L and 3L years. AccessMAX will be there each step of your law school journey, ensuring you graduate with maximum financial capability.
To get started, go to AccessLex.org/MAXonline. Your name, email address, school, and class year are all you need to login to the program, personalize your experience, and track your progress. No other personal information is required, and all information remains confidential.
OCU Law takes our responsibility to prepare you for a successful professional future seriously. That’s why we’re an AccessMAX school – because we know the best financial habits are learned.
