Katelyn King graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in Business. She was an O.U. Scholars Program scholarship recipient and a member of Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society, Golden Key International Honor Society and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.
Katelyn was active in campus organizations often serving in leadership roles. She was Pledge Class President and Vice President of Membership of Pi Beta Phi sorority, was on the Political Science Student Advisory Committee, and was treasurer of the Political Science Club. As a member of the Campus Activities Council Speakers Bureau Executive Board, Katelyn coordinated campus and community speaking events and hosted pre-event dinners with distinguished speakers. Katelyn also enjoyed serving as a student mentor with the Big Brothers Big Sisters program. It was Katelyn’s two-year term as one of O.U.’s seven Superior Court Justices that solidified her passion for pursuing a Juris Doctor.
As an Oklahoma City University School of Law student, Katelyn is on the Dean’s List and Faculty Honor Roll and she has received 11 CALI Awards for Excellence. The Oklahoma Bar Association recognized Katelyn with the Acadameic Excellence in Corporation Law Award. She is currently serving as Vice President of Phi Delta Phi International Legal Honor Society, she was a two year participant on Phi Alpha Delta’s mock trial team and she was an academic fellow. Katelyn is a Licensed Legal Intern and is a member of the Oklahoma City University Law Review.
Katelyn clerked at DeWitt, Paruolo, & Meek as well as McAfee and Taft. She looks forward to joining McAfee and Taft as an associate after graduation.
