I grew up in the small town of Jones, Oklahoma just outside of Oklahoma City. I received my undergraduate degree from The University of Oklahoma in Letters with a focus in Constitutional Studies. While I always planned to pursue a career in the legal profession, I was presented the unique opportunity after graduation to travel the country as a leadership consultant for my national fraternity’s headquarters. Through this experience, I gained a passion for helping students recognize their leadership potential. As a first-generation college student, I was intimidated by the law school admissions process, but I found an overwhelming sense of comfort through my experience with the admissions team at OCU Law. My goal is to provide the same comfort and guidance to prospective students considering OCU for their legal education.
I have a wide variety of interests in the law including working at the Appellate Division of the Oklahoma County Public Defender’s Office. That opportunity provided a ton of hands-on criminal law experience. One of the many things I love about OCU Law is the ability to tailor your experience to meet your individual interests and goals. Personally, I am a member of the Law Review and the Phi Delta Phi legal honor society. I truly believe OCU Law prepares students to become lawyers who advance the legal profession in all areas of the law. I am so excited that you’re considering OCU as your home for your legal education, and I hope we can talk more as you work your way through the admissions process!
