You must apply online to initiate the admissions process; paper applications are neither available nor accepted.  If you have difficulty applying online, please contact the Law School Admission Council Help Desk at 215-968-1339.

WHAT THE COMMITTEE SEEKS
Whether applying to one of our full or part-time programs, the admissions committee seeks serious, motivated students who possess a clear commitment to the values and ethics of the legal profession, and those with strong critical thinking and logical reasoning skills.

EVALUATING YOUR APPLICATION
In evaluating your preparedness for law school, the committee requires the following:

Academic Transcripts
A bachelor’s degree and transcripts from every academic institution you have ever attended.

Letters of Recommendation
You are required to submit at least two letters of recommendation.  Letters should speak to your critical thinking and logical reasoning skills, as well as your personality, work ethic, character, and preparedness for law school and the practice of law.

Law School Admission Test
The Law School Admission Test (LSAT) is generally the best indicator of an applicant’s likelihood of success in law school.  As such, your performance on the LSAT is carefully considered.  The highest LSAT score is  relied on in evaluating your file.

Personal Statement
Personal statements provide you with an opportunity to offer examples and meaningful information about your personal motivations, ambitions, and commitment to education. It can present insights into your ethics and values, and is in many senses, your opportunity to “interview” with the committee.   The personal statement is limited to two double-spaced pages.

Professional Resume
Your résumé is relied on to provide additional information about your experiences, leadership, and service to the community.

Supplemental Addenda
Depending on the your responses to certain questions on the application, you may be require to submit an addendum.  Addenda may also be used voluntarily to provide additional information that will enable the committee to better evaluate your file.

Apply today.  Contact lawquestions@okcu.edu if you have questions.
