Judicial Clerkships
A judicial clerkship can be a very valuable experience. Many employers perceive judicial clerkships to be significant achievements. There is no better opportunity to gain first-hand experience about the inner workings of the judicial system and it is this insight that can command a premium when seeking employment after the clerkship term.
PCDC Panels, Workshops & Networking Events
The PCDC organizes a series of professional development and career networking opportunities each year. These range from practice area information presentations, pro bono service opportunities, lunch and dinner events, plenary sessions and the PCDC Road Show which brings our department downstairs to law students in the Sarkeys Atrium. In addition, the PCDC works with law student organizations to co-sponsor programs and special events.
Pro Bono & Public Interest Law
A component of the law school’s mission is service to the legal community. There are many ways for law students to engage in public service work at the local, state, national and international levels. Through annual paid memberships sponsored by the PCDC, students may interact with and utilize the resources of organizations that provide an educational component regarding pro bono and public interest issues, and serve as clearinghouses for a wide range of internship and externship opportunities (paid and volunteer) for law students and graduates.
Clinical Programs
