AmeriCorps Legal Fellowships: In partnership with AmeriCorps, this program allows Fellows to promote public service at law schools by facilitating pro bono opportunities and training for other students.  A living allowance is provided and an educational award is earned after successful completion of the program.

Public Defender Corps: Equal Justice Works and the Southern Public Defender Training Center have partnered to improve the quality of representation for adults and juveniles nationwide. This three-year fellowship program addresses the ongoing national crisis of providing quality representation to accused persons who cannot afford counsel.

NALSA and the PCDC invite you to hear Stephanie Hudson from Oklahoma Indian Legal Services.

Ms. Hudson has worked as an attorney at OILS since 2000. She graduated from OCU LAW in 1993. She previously served as a coordinator for the Early Settlement Alternative Dispute Resolution program at Oklahoma City University. Stephanie represents the people in the mid-central region of Oklahoma. She is a member of the Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma.

Ms. Hudson also specializes in Indian child welfare, American Indian property issues, and mediation. She is recognized as a national expert in mediation, specifically tribal peacekeeping methods. Stephanie will be speaking about those topics, as well as how students can become involved with Oklahoma Indian Legal Services.

The 2012 Patent Law Interview Program will be held on Thursday, August 2 & Friday, August 3, 2012 at the Embassy Suites Chicago.
