Dallas Slovakian Consulate Opening, May 2010

STAYING CONNECTED!

Staying connected is key! As a graduate of OCU LAW, you are part of a worldwide association of alumni that are bound together by the common experience of having received an OCU LAW education. There are a variety of ways to stay connected.

Update Your Information: To update your information contact the Office of Advancement via email at lawadvancement@okcu.edu or by calling 405-208-5806.

Tell Us What’s Happening In Your Neck of the Woods: We want to know what’s happening in your personal and professional life, which is why we invite you to keep us updated. If you have exciting news to share, whether it be a new career, a new relationship or birth announcement, we want to celebrate with you because celebrating you and your accomplishments is key to our close-knit community. To submit OCU LAW alumni news, visit the alumni news submission form.

Profiles in Success: Our “Profiles in Success” video series features alumni and friends of OCU LAW who made the most of their legal education and have contributed to the legal profession in significant ways. All videos are available to view at the OCU LAW Vimeo Page.

GETTING INVOLVED!

Alumni are critical to the success of the law school, which is why we need you. There are many ways to become more involved in activities at the law school, all of which help to strengthen the reputation of OCU LAW and enhance the experience for current students.

Alumni Admissions Ambassador: Volunteer to assist the Office of Admissions recruit prospective students. Whether you are able to attend a recruiting event or speak with a prospective student about your experience at OCU LAW, every contribution makes a difference. Contact the Office of Admissions via email or telephone at 405-208-5354 if you are interested in helping.

Mock Interviewer/Career Panelist/Mentor: Current students value your professional experience more than you know, which is why the Professional Career and Development Center hosts opportunities for current students to interact with you. If you are interested in being a mentor, or helping our students improve their interview skills, or making a presentation designed to expose current students to various career options contact a member of the Professional and Career Development Staff by calling 405-208-5332.

Hosting or Assisting with an Alumni Activity: Another way to get involved is by hosting or assisting with a reception or event for alumni in your area. These activities not only foster a sense of community, but they are tons of fun. If you are interested in hosting an event or if you’d like to volunteer at an event sponsored by the law school, contact OCU LAW’s Special Event Coordinator, Lindsay Hightower, via email at ljhightower@okcu.edu or via telephone at 405-208-5197.

Not Sure What You Want to Do?: If you want to get involved, but not sure how, simply email lawvolunteer@okcu.edu. We’ll find a volunteer activity that works best for you.
