OCU LAW is here to help you gain easy access to the many alumni services, programs, and volunteer opportunities. The services offered are not only designed to assist you in maintaining and strengthening your connections with our vibrant community and fellow alumni, but to foster a spirit of loyalty, involvement and philanthropy to OCU LAW.
SERVICES AVAILABLE TO YOU
Bar Preparation Services: Coordinated through OCU LAW’s Department of Academic Achievement, OCU LAW facilitates a unique supplemental bar preparation program called “Conquer the Bar.” This program begins as early as your last semester in law school and concludes right up to the bar examination in July. After participating in this program and following the advice of the law school, the majority of our graduates Conquer the Bar. Contact a member of the Department of Academic Achievement for details.
Career Counseling: The staff of the Professional and Career Development Center is available to assist alumni develop and implement professionalized career plans through a broad array of services. Whether it be individual counseling, networking activities, mock interviews, resume development, or job searches, the staff are here to help. Request a Transcript: Requesting an official OCU LAW transcript is simple and easy. You can either contact the OCU LAW Registrar’s Office via telephone at 405-208-5355, or simply complete and return a Transcript Request Form (.pdf download).
Use of the Law Library: As an OCU LAW alumnus, you have lifetime borrowing privileges at the OCU LAW library. Stop by and speak with a member of the library staff, or simply call for more information about our borrowing policy or other services that may be of interest to you.
Continuing Legal Education (CLE): Alumni and members of the Oklahoma Bar are eligible to receive CLE credit for auditing a semester long course. Three hours of CLE credit are given for each semester credit hour taken. A complete schedule of courses is available on our web pages or through the Registrar’s Office at 405- 208-5355. Permission to audit a course may be obtained from Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, Eric Laity and the professor teaching the course. Enrollment is limited.
Facilities Rental: As an alumnus or friend of OCU LAW, you are eligible to rent OCU LAW facilities to host private events. If you are seeking a meeting room or a classroom for an upcoming workshop or special meeting, consider your alma mater. Contact the Special Events Coordinator, Lindsay Hightower, via email or telephone–405-208-5197–for additional details or to reserve a room for your next event.
