Pro Bono Housing Eviction Assistance Program Training

January 29 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

One event on February 1, 2018 at 5:00pm

OCU’s Pro- Bono Housing Eviction Assistance Program is ready to launch.  The next step in the Program’s launch is to do an initial training for interested students on the basics of Oklahoma’s Residential Landlord and Tenant Act.  An understanding of this Act is a crucial first step in developing the legal skills critical to providing effective legal assistance to the many families facing eviction from their homes without legal representation.  We encourage all law students to attend one of these trainings as you consider making a commitment to become a part of the legal team which together will develop and implement this Program.  The first 50-minute training will be Monday January 29 at 1 PM in Room 509.  It will be repeated on February 1, 2018 at 5 PM in Room 509.  If you have questions, contact Richard Klinge, Director of the Program, at 208-5207 (office), 696-9281 (cell) or rklinge@okcu.edu.
