Guest Speaker: Alice Iddi-Gubbels from PAMBE Ghana

On behalf of Poverty Law Group and Christian Legal Society, all students, staff, and faculty are all invited and encouraged to attend a talk from Distinguished OCU Alumna, Alice Iddi-Gubbels, Founder of PAMBE Ghana. Wednesday, November 16, 5:00 p.m. in Room 509.

Food will be provided!

PAMBE Ghana is an Oklahoma-based 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization that supports a bilingual school in a remote and underserved area of Northern Ghana, West Africa. La’Angum Learning Center currently serves more than 260 students in grades pre-K through sixth, and graduated their first class this summer. Students are from a variety of faiths, four remote villages, different tribal backgrounds, but they share similarities: their families value and are willing to work for their children’s education, their parents are poor subsistence farmers, and most cannot read or write. So far, every child who has started at the Learning Center continues to attend or has graduated–no child has dropped out.

Christian Legal Society Bible Study

Thursday, October 6th at 5:30 p.m. at Elemental Coffee.

We will be discussing the first chapter of Love Does by Bob Goff.
Even if you don’t have the book or don’t have time to read on top of everything else, PLEASE COME!

As always, we welcome everyone to all of our Christian Legal Society events; you do not have to be a member to attend!

Our settings are very laid back and informal, and we aim to make everyone feel as comfortable as possible.
We always encourage open discussions with no pressure.

If you are still looking for the devotional, you can find it here:

We truly hope to see you all there!
