Oklahoma Innocence Project (site draft 2)

The Oklahoma Innocence Project (OIP) at Oklahoma City University School of Law is dedicated to freeing those who have been wrongfully committed of a crime in the state of Oklahoma. Not only does the Project staff provided services pro bono to clients seeking to prove their factual innocence, law students learn a variety of skills in a clinical environment that only enhance their ability to serve their clients after graduation.

OIP is the first and only innocence project in the state. Since opening in August 2011, staff have received thousands of requests for assistance and numerous students have assisted with reviewing, investigating and drafting legal documents.
