The Department of Academic Achievement has two full-time professional employees as well as several student Academic Fellows.
Professor Foster earned a B.A. in political science from the University of Oklahoma and a J.D. from Oklahoma City University School of Law. He is admitted to practice in Oklahoma and the Western District of Oklahoma. He directs the efforts of the Department of Academic Achievement and runs the Conquer the Bar program and teaches Advanced Bar Studies.
Chelsea earned a B.A. in communication studies from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas, and her J.D. from Oklahoma City University School of Law. She has completed the coursework for an M.Ed. in applied behavioral studies, and in her free time is pursuing a certificate in professional counseling. She is admitted to practice in the state courts of Oklahoma and Texas, as well as the Western District of Oklahoma. She runs the Study for Success program for first- and second- year students and provides support in addition to that provided by Professor Foster to the alumni who are sitting for the bar exam.
Michael is a second year student at Oklahoma City University School of Law. He graduated in 2010 from the University of North Texas with a degree in political science. Michael is an Academic Fellow for Professor Conger and Rolls’s civil procedure class. As a law student, Michael is a member of Phi Delta Phi, the law review, and an officer in the Federalist Society.
David holds an undergraduate degree in education from the University of Central Oklahoma. He will be an Academic Fellow for Professor Pagano’s contracts class. He is a member of Phi Delta Phi. Prior to law school he worked as an educator for the United States Department of Defense at Aviano Air Force Base in Italy, Edwards Air Force Base in California, and Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma.
Jeremy is the Academic Fellow for Professor Dillon’s contracts class. He attended the University of Oklahoma and received a Bachelor of Science degree with a planned program major and a minor in chemistry. Jeremy is a member of Phi Delta Phi, the law review, and an officer of the Energy Law Association. Before law school, Jeremy spent 15 years with Radio Shack Corporation and left the company as a senior manager.
Thomas attended the University of Oklahoma in Norman where he studied writing novels, and he obtained his degree in 2007 for professional writing as well as a minor in history. He is the Academic Fellow for Professor O’Shea’s civil procedure class for 2012-2013.
Jay is a third-year law student, who comes from the great state of Arkansas. This is Jay’s second-year supporting Professor Gibson’s contracts class. Jay is a member of law review, the AAJ mock trial team, and Merit Scholars.
Anthony graduated from Kansas State University in May of 2011 with a major in business administration and a minor in statistics. He will be supporting Professor Johnson’s civil procedure class. In addition to being an Academic Fellow, Mr. Winter is also a student ambassador through the school’s admissions office.
