Clinical Instructor of Law

Since becoming an attorney in 1994, Professor Misner-Pollard has served primarily as a staff attorney at non-profit legal services agencies in the Seattle, Washington, area: Northwest Immigrant Rights Project, Eastside Legal Assistance Program, and Northwest Justice Project.  She also maintained a solo practice prior to that time.  Her practice, both private and non-profit, focused on helping domestic violence survivors with legal issues surrounding permanent separation from their batterers, and involved mainly family law and immigration law.  She is a member of the Washington State Bar Association.

Teaching

Currently, Professor Misner-Pollard runs the Immigration Law Clinic at Oklahoma City University School of Law.  She teaches the substantive immigration law course at the law school, as well.  Prior to her move to Oklahoma, she taught substantive immigration law as an adjunct professor at Seattle University School of Law.  She also is a frequent speaker on domestic violence, family law, and access to justice issues at Continuing Legal Education programs and other advocacy conferences.
