The Mission of the Public Interest Law Group is to promote awareness of public interest and pro bono service opportunities available to law students at Oklahoma City University School of Law.
The organization operates in accord with the following goals:
I – To send a group of public service-minded law students to the EJW Career Fair annually, and subsidize the expenses for the trip through PILG fundraising efforts.
II – To enable law students to accept public interest and pro bono job opportunities by sponsoring annual scholarship awards through PILG fundraising efforts.
III – To raise awareness on the campus of Oklahoma City University School of Law of public interest and pro bono work by participating in community service projects and bringing speakers to campus.
Membership in PILG is free and open to all law students, faculty, and staff interested in legal issues relating to the public interest.
