FALL 2014

  • August 9 (Saturday) Orientation for first-year law students begins.
  • August 11 (Monday) Classes begin for first-year law.
  • August 18 (Monday) Classes begin for all other law students.
  • August 20 (Wednesday) No classes before 5:00 p.m.; matriculation and university-wide faculty meeting (university open).
  • August 29 (Friday) No adds or drops after 5:00 p.m., last day to receive tuition refund.
  • September 1 (Monday) No classes: Labor Day (university closed).
  • October 3 (Friday) No classes after 6:00 p.m.: Yom Kippur holy day.
  • October 4 (Saturday) No classes before 6:00 p.m.: Yom Kippur holy day.
  • October 3 (Friday) Final day to withdraw from a course without the professor’s consent.
  • October 20-21 (Monday, Tuesday) Classes meet; law school does NOT observe university’s Fall Break.
  • November 24 (Monday) Last day of classes.
  • November 26 – 28 (Wednesday –  Friday) Thanksgiving Break (university closed).
  • December 1 – 12 (Monday to Friday) Final Exams.
  • December 15-23 (Monday – Tuesday) Limited availability of Law School staff due to move downtown.
  • December 24 – January 2 (Wednesday – Friday) Christmas Break (university closed).

SPRING 2015

  • January 12 (Monday) Classes begin.
  • January 12 (Monday) Fall semester grades due at 9:00 am in Law Registrar’s Office.
  • January 19 (Monday) No classes: Martin Luther King Jr. Day (university closed).
  • January 23 (Friday) No Adds or Drops after 5 p.m.; last day to receive tuition refund.
  • February 27 (Friday) Final day to withdraw from a course without the professor’s consent.
  • March 2 (Friday) Recommended deadline to apply for financial aid for Summer and Fall.
  • March 16 – 20 (Monday – Saturday) No classes: Spring Break (university open).
  • April 3 (Friday) No classes after 12:00 noon:  Good Friday (university closes at noon).
  • April 27 (Monday) Last day of classes for courses that do not meet on Friday afternoons.
  • April 29 (Wednesday) Last day of classes for courses that meet on Friday afternoons.
  • May 4 – 15 (Monday – Friday) Final Exams.
  • May 15 (Friday) Awards Ceremony.
  • May 17 (Sunday) Graduation.

SUMMER 2015

  • May 25 (Monday) Memorial Day (university closed).
  • May 26 (Tuesday) Classes begin.
  • June 1 (Monday) No Adds or Drops after 5 p.m.; last day to receive tuition refund for Summer Session courses.
  • June 15 (Monday) Final day to withdraw from a Summer Session course without the professor’s consent.
  • June 15 (Monday) Spring semester grades due at 9:00 am in the Law Registrar’s Office.
  • July 3 (Friday) No classes. Independence Day (university closed).
  • July 15 (Wednesday) Last day of classes.
  • July 20 – 23 (Monday – Thursday) Final Exams.

FALL 2015

  • November 19 (Thursday) Last day of class for courses that meet T, Th and begin before 5:30 p.m.
  • November 23 (Monday) Last day of classes for courses that meet M,W and begin at 5:30 p.m. or later; last day of class for courses that meet only on Mondays.
  • November 24 (Tuesday) Daytime: today is treated as a Wednesday: courses that meet M, W (or W only) and begin before 5:30 p.m. meet today.  Evening: today is a regular Tuesday evening; last day of class for courses that meet T, Th and begin at 5:30 p.m. or later.
  • November 25-27 (Wednesday-Friday) Thanksgiving Break (university closed).
  • November 30 (Monday) Last day of class for courses that meet M, W (or W only) and begin before 5:30 p.m.
  • December 7-18 (Monday -Friday) Final Exams.
  • December 23 – January 1 (Wednesday – Friday) Christmas Break (university closed).
