International Expertise Expertise In International Education & Sino-American Academic Exchanges Oklahoma City University and the School of Law have been at the forefront of educational programming for students, lawyers and judges from other countries, most notably China. Oklahoma City University was the first American university to receive authorization from the Chinese Ministry of Education to offer an American M.B.A. degree program to Chinese students in China. Since 2008, the School of Law has hosted visiting scholars from universities in China for a period of one year, after which they publish books or scholarly articles upon their return to their home universities. Program Overview International Expertise Details & Requirements Application Instructions Our faculty members lecture abroad, are invited participants to international conferences and symposia, and consult with numerous international scholars. In 2011, nine members of the Oklahoma City University School of Law faculty were invited to present papers at the First International Symposium on Sino-American Comparative Law, held in Nankai University in Tianjin, China. In the spring of 2013, the School of Law hosted the second symposium where 30 Chinese law professors from eight Chinese universities participated. Also in 2013, Oklahoma City University School of Law was selected by the National Judges College of Supreme People’s Court of the People’s Republic of China to host two members of its faculty and provide a three-month program of instruction on pedagogical methods for legal education for possible adoption by the college. Most recently, the Shenzhen Lawyers Association (China) chose our school to conduct a four-week advanced training course for a delegation of its members.
