Financial Aid Process

Submit FAFSA and Review Financial Aid Fast Facts for Law Students
U.S. citizens and permanent residents, not in active bankruptcy or in default of prior federal student loans, are eligible to apply for federal loans. This is done through Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Beginning January 1st, using your tax returns, you should complete your FAFSA form at If you have never filed a FAFSA or have lost your Personal Identification Number (PIN), apply for a PIN first. The Title IV institutional code for Oklahoma City University is 003166. FAFSA is required for all federal loans.

Award Letters
After you have submitted your FAFSA, you will receive a Financial Aid Award Notification via Oklahoma City University student email from the Financial Aid Office. Please review and accept your awards via Blue Link immediately — your loans will not be processed without your acceptance. If you have not received an award letter after submitting the FAFSA and any other requested documents, require assistance in acquiring student loans, or have other questions regarding the aid process, please contact the Student Financial Services Office at 405.208.5211 immediately.

Pre-Loan Counseling
All incoming students who have accepted loans must complete pre-loan entrance counseling.

Distribution of Aid
If you are receiving financial aid (scholarships or loans), your aid will be credited against your tuition costs and any excess aid will be made available (refunded) to you via direct deposit into your bank account. You will need to fill out a direct deposit form.

Information regarding scheduled refund dates is available.
