SUMMER 2018

  • May 21 (Monday) Classes begin.
  • May 28 (Monday) Memorial Day: no classes; university closed.
  • May 31 (Thursday) No Adds or Drops after 5 p.m. today; final day to receive tuition refund.
  • June 7 (Thursday) Final day to withdraw from a course without the professor’s consent.
  • June 11 (Monday) Spring semester grades due at 9:00 a.m in the Law Registrar’s office.
  • July 4 (Wednesday) Independence Day: no classes; university closed.
  • July 5 (Thursday) Last day of class for courses that meet T, Th.
  • July 10 (Tuesday) Last day of class for courses that meet M, T, W, Th.
  • July 11 (Wednesday) Final Day of Instruction.  Last day of classes for courses that meet M, W.
  • July 12, 13 (Thursday, Friday) Reading period for final exams.
  • July 16 – 19 (Monday – Thursday) Final Exams.
  • August 13 (Monday) Summer Term grades due at 9:00 am in the Law Registrar’s office.

FALL 2018

  • August 4 (Saturday) Orientation for first-year law students begins
  • August 6 (Monday) Classes begin for first-year law students
  • August 9 (Thursday) University Adjunct Workshop
  • August 13 (Monday) Classes begin for all other law students; Summer Term grades due at 9:00 a.m in the Law Registrar’s Office.
  • August 14 (Tuesday) New Faculty Orientation I.
  • August 15 (Wednesday) University Matriculation and University Faculty Meeting (for full-time law faculty not in class) (university open).
  • August 16 (Thursday) New Faculty Orientation II.
  • August 24 (Friday) No adds or drops after 5:00 p.m. today; last day to receive tuition refund.
  • September 3 (Monday) Labor Day; no classes; university closed.
  • September 18 (Tuesday) Yom Kippur holy day begins at sunset; no classes after 5:00 p.m.
  • September 19 (Wednesday) Yom Kippur holy day concludes at sunset. no classes before 5:00 p.m.
  • September 28 (Friday) Final day to withdraw from a course without the professor’s consent.
  • October 15-16 (Monday, Tuesday) Classes meet; law school does NOT observe university’s Fall Break.
  • November 1 (Thursday) Recommended deadline to apply for financial aid for the spring semester.
  • November 20 (Tuesday) Final Day of Instruction.  Classes that normally meet on Wednesday before 5:00 p.m. meet today.  Classes that normally meet on Tuesday after 5:00 p.m. meet today.
  • November 21-23 (Wednesday – Friday) Thanksgiving Break: no classes; university will be open on November 21 only.
  • November 26-November 30 (Monday to Friday) Reading period for final exams
  • December 3 – 14 ( Monday to Friday) Final Exams.
  • December 24 – January 2 (Friday – Wednesday) Christmas Break: university closed.

SPRING 2019

  • January 3 (Thursday) University open. No classes.
  • January 14 (Monday) Classes begin for all law students. Fall semester grades due at 9:00 a.m. in Law Registrar’s Office.
  • January 21 (Monday) Martin Luther King Jr. Day: no classes; university closed.
  • January 26 (Friday) No Adds or Drops after 5 p.m. today; final day to receive tuition refund.
  • March 1 (Friday) Final day to withdraw from a course without the professor’s consent.
  • March 11 – 15 (Monday – Friday) Spring Break: no classes (university open).
  • March 25 (Monday) Recommended deadline to apply for financial aid for summer term and fall semester.
  • April 19 (Friday) Good Friday; no classes after 12:00 noon; university closes at noon.
  • April 29 (Monday) Final Day of Instruction.
  • April 30 – May 3 (Tuesday – Friday) Reading period for final exams.
  • May 6 – May 17 (Monday – Friday) Final Exams.
  • May 17 (Friday) Awards Ceremony.
  • May 19 (Sunday) Graduation.
