PCDC – Bidding Deadline for Fall On-Campus Recruiting

The Fall 2012 2L on-campus recruiting season begins on Monday, August 6, 2012. The deadline to submit online applications for employer consideration is midnight on the evening of Monday, July 16, 2012.

More information will be posted on the Symplicity home page dashboard and in the On-Campus Recruiting module. Employers are beginning to book their interview dates now, so please keep any eye on your Symplicity account for periodic updates. PCDC – St. Louis Diversity Job Fair

When: August 3-4, 2012
Where: Saint Louis, MO

Eligible for Participation: OCU School of Law students in the graduating classes of 2013 and 2014.

The primary goal of the Fair is to attract a diverse group of 2L and 3L students to the metropolitan St. Louis legal community, encourage them to practice law in the area, and become an integral part of our community. The Job Fair steering committee has invited law firms, corporations, and government agencies from all over the nation.

The Loyola Patent Law Interview Program is a two-day interview program held in Chicago each summer that brings together patent law employers and law students from across the country to interview for summer associate positions and post-graduate employment.

The 2012 Patent Law Interview Program will be held on Thursday, August 2 & Friday, August 3, 2012 at the Embassy Suites Chicago.

What’s Your Greatest Weakness?

PCDC – Federal Practice Clinic – US Attorney’s Office, District of Kansas

Mr. Jabari Wamble, Assistant US Attorney, will present a program for first-year OCU LAW students describing the eighteenth Federal Practice Clinic during Summer 2012. This informational session is a prelude to on-campus recruiting by Mr. Grissom, US Attorney and OCU LAW JD’81, which will take place on February 23, 2012 (1L full-time/2L part-time student eligibility).

The United States Attorney’s Office serves as the principal litigator for its judicial district and is responsible for coordinating multiple agency investigations within the district. The United States Attorney has the responsibility and authority to prosecute violations of federal criminal statutes, defend the government in civil actions, seek the enforcement of a variety of civil enforcement statutes, and institute proceedings for the collection of fines and penalties among other things.
